Mobile World Congress, one of the largest technology congresses in the world, was canceled for the first time in 30 years after the leading technology companies such as LG Electronics, Ericsson, Intel, Nokia and Sony announced that they would not attend due to coronavirus. We have been participating the congress in Barcelona for many years and also visiting our partners like Barcelona-based Beabloo. So, at the end, we decided not to cancel our trip.

 

But it was not only us. Soon after the cancellation of MWC, the hashtag #unofficialMWC2020 has started to be shared on Twitter. Telemedia Magazine, a British publication, has decided to continue the event unofficially. We were also a part of this trend and enjoyed making business network in pleasant environments like Casa Boney.

 

Jarvis Todd, the director of Telemedia, did an interview with Euronews. He claims that it was better and more effective environment in this unofficial event. We should admit that we agree with him.
